the humble giver

Message : It is difficult to share what we have with others. We might spend it on necessities or luxury or just blow it away . many of us on our special occasions spend a fortune on cakes , parties and cookies ..which is good ; howmany though remember to share it with the less fortunate .

...i have known someone who would start the most special day "a birthday " by giving food /fruits/money  to the poor in the morning  .. :) It does not not need riches or pedigree to be a giver . Some people can . I have yet to learn this maybe …I was humbled reading this story in the papers ....

A beggar on Saturday showed that it does not take deep pockets but a large heart to help the needy. Khimjibhai Prajapati, a 64-year-old beggar in Mehsana, donated clothes to 11 poor hearing- and speech-impaired girls of the Shrimati Kesarbai Kilachand School for Deaf. Khimjibhai presented a rare sight as he limped into the school on his crutches, wearing tattered and unwashed clothes. He placed the brand-new clothes in the hands of 11 eager girls. Khimjibhai bought these clothes from a saving of Rs 3,000. Khimjibhai has been begging outside the Simandhar Swami Jain Temple and Hanuman Temple in Mehsana for the past decade. He also lives around these temples.

"I just need two meals a day and some money to send back to my wife in Rajkot who is sick with ulcers and lung infection," said Khimjibhai. "Otherwise, whatever I earn, I use it to buy food for the poor and hungry people. I have wished to do something for these girls for a long time and I am happy that I donated clothes to them."
